THE CHALLENGE OF GOING GLOBAL

Already well-established in Australia, Marmalade Lion was ready to launch overseas. The team approached me for copywriting support as they prepared to expand the brand into the UK and USA.

With that in mind, they needed new copy for the expanded audience. The team also wanted to take the opportunity to improve the product copy for key lines.

BUILDING ON STRONG FOUNDATIONS

With the brand strongly established already, my focus was on creating copy that would fit with the overall brand voice, but also appeal to a non-Australian audience. I drew on the brand’s existing content for inspiration, writing new copy that adjusted the language and priorities of a more international audience.

BUY ONCE, LOVE FOREVER…

Aside from creating copy fit for the international audience, I was also asked to bring more life to the product descriptions, which to date had been fairly features-focused. I spent time expanding on the products’ benefits from a lifestyle point of view, nurturing the emotional connection that the team was already building so well with its audience over on social media.
