Copy doesn’t just sell products or services. It also sells ideas and inspires support.

That’s why, alongside the main part of my business, I also work with charities, community organisations and not-for-profits.

This kind of makes sense because I spent a large part of my career (before going freelance) working for charities and the public sector. And because I love variety, I take on a few of these projects each year.

I work with charities, community and not-for-profit organisations to write compelling and powerful copy that gets your message across to staff, stakeholders, supporters and service users. That could mean things like:

  • Annual reports (and other kinds of reports)
  • Strategy documents
  • Fundraising letters and packs
  • Marketing materials
  • Website copy
  • Volunteer recruitment
  • Practitioner handbooks

Organisations I’ve written for include:

My day rate for most charity projects is £400 (I’m happy to quote a fixed project price if you prefer). If that’s over budget, I might still be able to help. I put aside a set number of days each year to work with small, local not-for-profits at a lower rate, so you might just be in luck…
