The brief: To raise awareness of Samaritans’ presence in the local community and encourage people to engage with them.
My work: I produced a range of direct correspondence, press releases and print adverts targeted at local businesses and community organisations. In doing this I liaised with designers and communications staff from Samaritans’ head office to ensure the local materials met their design standards and included their core messages and wording.
This relatively low-cost, community level promotion improved links with community organisations and saved approximately £2750 in newspaper advertising costs for the branch that year.
