A new week – a new lockdown limbo! What more could you want?

Today we’re chatting to Krishna Solanki about juggling parenting and business-ing, and of course, hearing all about the small businesses she wants to show some love to during lockdown.

You can catch up on previous chats and other bits and pieces that you might find useful during lockdown here:

But first…

MEET KRISHNA SOLANKI, BRAND & SQUARESPACE DESIGNER

Krishna is an award-winning brand and Squarespace designer, and she lives in Cambridge with her husband and two girls (who, as you can see, have been finding lockdown exhausting!). We’ve been Instagram-buddies for a while now, so it was fab to catch up and find out how lockdown’s been treating her and her family.

“It’s been crazy!” she says. “I’ve changed my working hours so I can still juggle family and work-life. It’s difficult at times as I have a 2-year-old and 6-year-old”. I can only imagine.

“With the hubby working from home it can get a bit loud, but overall it’s ok. Work-wise, I’m quite driven and I LOVE what I do, so even towards the end of the day when I sit down to start work I’m still fired up”.

One thing’s for sure. Krishna definitely has more energy than I do!

Krishna’s small business shoutouts!

“I’ll be honest, I haven’t had a moment to think about treats…” admits Krishna (I’m not surprised!). “There are a bunch of small businesses I know are still operating and doing a fab job, though, so I’m going to shout those out instead!”. Here goes…

And also…

Check out Krishna’s recommendations (and her website, of course!), and while you’re clicking, take a look at how I can help you with copywriting, too.

And keep an eye open for the rest of the series, which will be coming to a computer near you as soon as I get my act together…
