A few weeks ago, as the country went into lockdown, I found myself volunteering to write copy for a project being set up by local counsellor and psychotherapist, Natasha Crowe.
Free online and phone support during Covid-19

Connected Together is a listening and support service which sets up a free 30 minute call with one of a team of wellbeing volunteers for anyone who needs support. That team includes therapists, counsellors, wellbeing coaches, business coaches and SEN specialists.
You can access the service at www.connected-together.com
I caught up with Natasha to find out how things are going with the project (and beyond!).
Asked what really stands out from the last few weeks since she started setting the project up, she picks out “the amazing offers of help from so many specialists and the great team we have built!”.
Natasha sings the praises of her brilliant team of volunteers, sending thanks to them as well as to members of The Mama Hive who helped get the project off the ground.
“We couldn’t have done it without them”, she says. “I’m so glad we’re able to support those who need someone to listen. People are really grateful”.
I also wanted to find out how life in lockdown is treating Natasha, aside from Connected Together. “Even though life has changed immensely, I’m still working but just in a different way”, she says. “Balancing that with family life and home schooling is a challenge but I’m not being too hard on myself. We can only do what we can do right now. I’m looking forward to hugging my mum and my sister when lockdown lifts”.
And finally, I loved Natasha’s answer when I asked her to sum up lockdown in three words. She chose “slower”, “chaotic” and “memorable” – and I think most of us would probably agree!
